Hi all, I have a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel, 17k miles. Just took it to the dealer for an oil change and fuel filter replacement. Since picking it up noticed a ticking / knocking noise when engine is running. Was thinking it must be related to the service because it did not have this sound before. Oil level is good and has pressure, no leaks. As I looked into it further seems the sound is only there when the air conditioning is on. Attached links to a couple videos, one with ac off and one with it on…might be hard to pick up on video. Thought I would check if anyone has any ideas what is going on. Just fan noise? Trying to get it back to the dealer. Thx

They used mopar 5w40. I did not request a specific oil, assumed they would use standard 10w30. I called to talk to them about the noise and oil used and feedback was 5w40 is 'the preferred oil'. Sounds like 5w40 can be used especially in cold conditions. I'm in Northern CA, very hot right now.

5W40 is good nothing to worry about there but it is not “mopar” oil it is likely shell
