I was into the dealership today and think I'm going to go back and order one...
Have been waiting on one to just come in but they said the two they had on order are now spoken for.

I know I want a Level 3 - I'm coming from a 1500 Laramie Longhorn so kind of spoiled.

Tow package seems like a good value which also gives you the 360 camera (think my wife will love that)
Beadlock wheels appear to be a free optional upgrade if you get select Level 3
Spray in liner

I'm on the fence about TOW-MODE DIGITAL REARVIEW MIRROR PACKAGE think I'll pass..

Dealership thinks sunroof might delay the order.
I'm also going to get Ramboxs but i know that is a personal option.

Anything else I should really consider?

If your actually Power-wagoning with your Power Wagon, Ram boxes are amazing for storing all your recovery gear.

I would personally stay away from a sunroof if you plan on being offroad, but just me.

Beadlocks are a nice touch, they look better if you powdercoat the rings.

Folks on here seem to love the Digital rearview mirror.

Power Wagon in any trim is pretty good as is.

The bead locks are not real, just a beauty ring. Still trying to find the actual bead lock ring that goes on the rims.
I ordered a 75th AE package. Only options were the bed package with spray in liner, led lights and bed step. Love the bed step as the truck sits high, plus I put 35s on it.
Rock sliders I dont know. I took mine off and put AMP steps on so it was easier for me and my 5 foot wife to get in the truck. I bought a aftermarket kind bed cover. Half the price and nicer I think.

Oh good points I should mention how I use the truck

It's my daily but I don't drive much daily since I worked from home (even before the pandemic), I will be using it to tow my LJ Rubicon which I know the PW isn't designed for but I'll also be using it when the family wants to come out wheeling. I often trail guide some of the easier trails and think the PW might be great for those days. I do plan on putting 35s on it.

I also have a remote cabin so thinking the PW will be great in the winter to get in and the winch will help out when it doesn't go as planned :) Not having lockers or a winch makes me pretty concerned in my current setup so I'll often just take the LJ but it's often in pieces in the garage.

I'm honestly only looking right now because my current Ram the dealership just offered me the price I paid for it almost 3 years ago as a trade-in.

The Level 3 Doesn't come with those faux bead lock wheels. That was just the 75th Anniversary. I'm getting a level 3. Personally I'd get the block heater because it's a cheap option if you live in the cold. the bed utility group. step spray in liner and lights are a no brainer. Get the third brake light camera because it's nice to see your bed load and it's black which is nicer. the steps are a very nice step for very cheap. 495 bucks for aluminum steps is a steal. If you plan on getting the big screen and at a minimum leather the level three is a no brainer. The ram boxes are nice. I have them now but I find myself just tossing **** in them. I mean it's a good place for your trailer hitch and jumper cables and stuff but at the end of the day you can just toss that in a bag. I can't get my fourwheeler in my box now so that's why I'm not going ram boxes this time.

In my opinion: If you plan to wheel your truck, don’t waste your money on the low hanging aluminum steps. Get Maple or White Knuckle proper frame mounted rock sliders, or the “offroad package” which has steel body mounted steps/rock sliders(not as beefy as the WK or Maple ones but will be way stronger than aluminum steps)

My truck is Level 1 (heated cloth seats, 8.4” radio, single zone AC), Alpine stereo, and Tow Tech Package. I wouldn’t have got the TT package if I had ordered like I planned…but now that I have it, I’m so glad I have it! Blind spot monitoring is great safety feature in such a big truck, and the 360 cameras are awesome offroad!

I would definitely order the dual alternators. For $400 you get the hairpin wound 220a as your main(vs 180a conventional), plus an extra 160amp unit.

As others mentioned, get the bed lights. It’s a PITA to add them after the fact.

I plan to place an order for Maple sliders the second I put money down on this order.

My reason behind the beadlock ready rims and maybe this is wrong.. But I thought I read they have a tad more backspacing and you are right they don't come with Level 3 but at least here in Canada, I can add them on for free after I select Level 3 (it appears). I don't want the rock sliders in the off-road package.

The 360 camera honestly is a must have for me because my wife doesn't know it is an option. She's not too pumped about the PW because she loves the Longhorn. So the 360 camera is kind of a surprise for her. She didn't like our Longhorn and swore she'd never drive it but now she prefers it over her BMW x3 for any kind of trip.

Bedlights are added to my options list now
Block header is standard here (I'm in Canada)

Rambox.. yeah I'm so on the fence I really want it for when I'm on the trail and figure one side will be all the stuff I normally keep in a tote. But... A topper really is a consideration but not really for trail use. We have pretty tight trails here.

What’s the concern with a topper “Not for trail use”?
Tons of people run them on offroad trucks off all makes. They don’t make the truck any wider, and if you’re worried about scratching them on branches or hitting trunks when offcamber…well the rest of the truck body is going to get beat up just as much. I’ve had no issues with mine offroad.

Yeah sorry, I don't mean toppers don't belong on the trail I know many people run them. It is just here on the Northern East Coast a PW is going to be the biggest thing on the trail and our trails are tight, rocky and heavy in trees.

I don't run a hardtop on my LJ Rubicon because I would have smashed the windows out of it a half dozen times because we get off-camber near trees. Grand Cherokees and 4 runners lose rear quarter windows all the time. And obviously, I'm not going to put my PW in places the LJ goes but there are some tight trails I certainly plan on doing.

Here is where I plan on taking it camping the first weekend I get it. Pretty much in my backyard.

Here is one of my videos I'd consider doing the first half of this trail in a PW:

I do love the idea of the topper for building a small sleeping area in. Certainly tempting and nice looking rig.

I mean, I get it. But I don’t get it. Without a topper, you’ve still got the big cab and the glass on the doors.
We’ve got narrow , rocky trails here in Colorado. There are plenty of trails here the Power Wagon is simply too big to fit through. It’s not a concept unfamiliar to me, and I’ve got the body damage to prove it. But the topper doesn’t seem any more vulnerable to me than the bedsides themselves, or the cab /glass on the cab.
But you do you, boo.

I’m a fan of toppers; had one on the truck i just traded in and have one on order for the new truck, but i get not wanting one on a truck you’re gonna wheel with… one more thing to worry about and fiberglass cant be hammered out.

i think you’ve got it pretty figured out @JeepingNet. If you were looking at anything other than the PW, there’d probably be something to discuss, but the PW is built for one thing and it sounds like a good fit for you. Any options you get are gonna be creature features, so the more the merrier… unless it becomes an either/or. then we’d have some decisions to make.

How about a pic of that LJ?

I thought I was going to hate the Ramboxes when I bought mine but I’ve ended up absolutely loving them. Definitely a must have for me.

Spray in bed liner is a sweet product - been holding up really well.

Love the LED projector lights on my 75th. Not sure if they come on the level 3? This is the first vehicle I’ve had that I don’t feel like I need to upgrade the lighting. We live out in the boonies and it gets really dark in the winter so it’s nice to see what’s ahead.

I am glad mine didn’t come with a sunroof. I personally don’t like them and they tend to leak with age.

Whatever you get you’re gonna love the truck.

The level 3 does come with the adaptive LED headlights. It was the big draw of the level 3. That and the interior is nicer. Yeah I defintely use my ramboxes but I can do without them.

My 2022 PW is my also my daily. I previously had an all new 2020 Rebel with Rebel 12 package. I picked up my PW straight off the lot EXACTLY how I wanted it. Color and everything. Didn't order, no waiting.

This is my build from the RamTrucks website. https://www.ramtrucks.com/bmo.ram_2...U,AAN,RCA,SJE,XBM,LSA,LPD,LPL,DK3,CLE,UBQ,2GP

In hindsight, the only thing I would change on my truck would be to get the vinyl floor covering instead of the carpet that came with it. And pick up some all-weather floor mats.

Did the L3 not come with the Rubber floor mats? I thought they came standard with all Power Wagons? My L1 came with them

I agree I wish mine had the vinyl floors too.

My 75th same with carpet mats. Swapped them out for Weathertech rubber ones. They fit great and do a good job.

Anybody here know anything about Sherpa winches? I’m getting a Ram 3500 diesel, live in Colorado and make it off road often enough. Truck is about 8000lb. Ram 3500 diesel.
I used my last Warn winch several times but the price on the Warn 16.5 Ti is close to 3k and although they make good stuff they’re WAY over priced and their website is all but useless and I’m assuming aside from their staff the company that owns Warn is probably a nightmare.
I’m thinking a Sherpa Steed 17,500 winch is the ticket but it’s hard to find much info. It’s Australian made, ships free to the US and seems in what I could find out performs the rest. Also they use the best Solenoids made and have an IP68 rating, NOT MADE IN CHINA like Smittybuilt and Superwinch both are. They are also IP67 and use a Chinese solenoid. I know the Superwinch and Smittybuilt gets some good reviews and is a 2nd choice but overall it seems the reviewers are biased. Obviously a winch is important. Anyway if you guys have some info I’d appreciate it.
