Is it normal that my caster is still out of spec post-alignment?

Also, for this truck should a steering calibration be done after an alignment?

They wont align to other than OE specs

Who is “they”?

I’d take it somewhere else. I got excessive outer tire wear with OE specs on my 18 and 22, that stopped on both trucks with Thuren specs and it drives better.

The dealership, and actually every alignment shop that I called

I’ve never had an issue at alignment shops aligning to specs I provide.

I recant my statement, don’t take it back. The dealership is the last place you should ever take it for an alignment, and the sheet shows why.

Find a small independent shop and have them align it to thuren specs.

Use the dealership for necessary warranty work, and nothing else.

Was in for recalls and figured they couldnt f up an alignment. Lesson learned.

Still curious about the steering calibration

I work at a ram dealer. Idk why they wouldn’t set the toe to zero. I set them to zero and it’s within spec on the hunter rack we have.

Im calling the serv mngr on monday. Paying for this result is insulting

Should the steering alignment angle / pull compensator be reset after an alignment?

If the option is there than technically yes. Not usually a huge issue but it should be. That caster should be fixed though

Set TOE to as close to 0 as you can. .05 works. Caster Cams set Mirrored to each other towards the Rear Marks. PXL_20231127_230854742.jpg You can be as close as one Mark apart. Even back one more works. Look at the Thuren Specs. When I talked with Don last week he said Mirrored is what you want.
