We are all anxiously waiting, no ETA on the release.looking to delete my truck but as of right now it is not possible due to lack of tuning, anyone heard of when that will change?? also anybody done the 2nd gen swap?? what setup did you go with?
it's strange to me that folks are even doing a 2nd gen swap on these.

Ok so im not the only one questioning why bother with the 2nd gen swap! The only reason the swap made sence in the early 4th gens is how bad the actuators were but the city actuator is still better than a non VGT turbo…. Hell if i could put a VGT on my 01 i would! much better than a fixed geometryit's strange to me that folks are even doing a 2nd gen swap on these.
I got a 2nd Gen swap on my 14 2500. You have to trash the stock brake and I wanted one but didn't want to go back to a 4th Gen set up. So I bought a BD exhaust brake and have had nothing but issues since I got it installed.looking to delete my truck but as of right now it is not possible due to lack of tuning, anyone heard of when that will change?? also anybody done the 2nd gen swap?? what setup did you go with?
Honestly, unless you're working as a rig welder or something where you're idling your truck all day, it's probably a non issue. The emissions systems on these newer trucks are way way better than they used to be. Just read through the forums. There are like 1 or 2 reports of emissions system failure?Anyone hearing any info on if/when the tuning software will be released? I have been emailing tuner manufacturers directly for months with no luck..... On a positive note I believe they are still attempting to develop the software, hopefully they don't give up. Out of all of the trucks currently available to purchase I buy the one that's locked down. Emissions failure are common across all brands, people these days are not deleting for power but more for reliability.
The turbo yes lolSo what you're saying is that I should have kept my 2nd gen?
Oh wow I feel dumb - I just realized the purpose of this thread - swapping turbo's...... I was totally under the impression people were wanting to swap the entire drivetrain from a 2nd gen in and couldn't figure out why they'd want to be so dumb!!! (only to realize I'm the dumb one.....) Carry on!The turbo yes lol
All good that was the first thing i though when i first heard the termOh wow I feel dumb - I just realized the purpose of this thread - swapping turbo's...... Spot on. I have a stock truck except 37's, level and a Banks Ram Air Intake elbow and am throwing P0402 codes. Likely caused by the ram but now my confidence is shattered when towing across state lines! I just want reliability like I had with my 5.9 and previous 6.7. Will exchange that for the warranty at this point. And it seems like a lot of folks are getting P0402 codes at around 10k-12k miles, which is where I'm at.Anyone hearing any info on if/when the tuning software will be released?
