I ordered a 2022 Ram 3500 Mega Cab Bighorn on 9/10. At the time, there was some confusion on the “packages” and what was included in them. Long story short my truck will have the Level C package and my question is will it have power fold mirrors? I believe it will NOT have them but the dealer said it “should”. I realize it “should”…. Just looking for clarification. He said my deposit for the order in not refundable and if the truck does not have them…. petty as it sounds, I’m not going to buy it and I’ll be out $1000. Can anyone confirm the tow mirror situation. Thanks

Looking at the Ram site the level 1 and level B both include power folding mirrors so I would assume the C package does as well. They don't list a C package online so can't verify.
They will not be auto folding but should be power folding.

I dont believe C package included power fold tow mirrors. I know its annoying but you can add them aftermarket for a few hundred bucks. Not ideal but if the rest of the truck is as you want, swap those mirrors with the aftermarket option and chalk it up to Covid BS.

I just found this. Didn't realize the C package was a lower trim then the B. Always thought they went up with options. Crazy times we live in...

The Level C Equipment Package includes the following equipment…

  • Exterior 115V AC Outlet
  • 2nd–Row In-Floor Storage Bins
  • Heated Front Seats
  • Rear Power–Sliding Window
  • A/C with Dual–Zone Auto Temperature Control
  • 8–Way Power Adjustable Driver Seat
  • Front Fog Lamps
  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Steering–Wheel–Mounted Audio Controls
  • ParkSense® Front and Rear Park–Assist System
  • Remote–Start System
  • 400W Inverter

Level C is a lower package then A was. It’s actually stripped down A. One of the things that was removed is the power folding mirrors.

I have been told more than once that the Ram.com site is administered by a third party and is less than accurate to the moment. You can configure all you want but when you go to order the specifics they may or may not be available at that time. Ram.com shows a Laramie level A or B, neither is accurate. It’s now C or D. And as I was configuring at the dealer last week. Power folding mirrors were not available on anything Longhorn as well as Limited . That was practically the first words out of their mouth before we started building. Just saying.

I think it's changing so fast they can't keep up with the web site. What was available today may not be tomorrow...

Aaron @ Mark Dodge confirmed no power fold on Laramies as well. I need to look into what it would take to make a 22 have power folding, and a 22 not.

I could just turn a sport into a night edition that I want too since that isnt available.

All going to depend on if they include the wiring, the correct mirror, and/or the correct door module. I'm guessing the door module is the issue but will they wire it up and include the correct mirrors is the question. They are not cheap so it could be expensive and difficult to add (getting the parts) after the fact and you would need to enable the functionality with AlfaOBD.

If I had to guess, I think the wiring harness will be the same. Module and mirrors will need to be purchased. No way Ram requests the supplier to redo a harness to remove a few wires

The plan would be to swap the parts from my 21 to the 22. Keep the 21 for a few days before selling it so that I can move things around. I can stomach the loss of the night edition and go with a different color combo that I would like more without the black accents, but the power fold mirrors are used almost every day, and I would hate to lost that option.

In that case the biggest hurdle will be the wiring (if they don't pre-wire and guessing they won't) and enabling the functions in the BCM. Lot's of those harnesses are tied together with other stuff so it's not like you can just pull the mirror harness and move it over in a lot of cases. Will probably have to disable those functions in the old truck as well so it doesn't throw codes.
