Got my factory order 3500 CC SRW Big Horn 6.4 4x4 4.10 in February. I like it a lot, but when I tried reading the printed manual at night, I found the interior lights to be way too dim. The manual says there should be a wheel to adjust brightness, next to the one for adjusting instrument brightness, but my truck has only the latter. Do all recent Big Horns lack the adjustment for interior lights, or am I the victim of some temporary parts shortage? Is the brightness control something that only comes as part of some package? How about a hack to adjust the brightness with or without a visible control?

I have the Laramie with both dials. One is just for the foot wells (and the glove box in some). The other controls the dash lights and console screen. There should be 3 switches topside for your map lights. The center one should turn everything on.

I can turn on all the lights using those switches. The problem is even with all the lights on, the overall lighting is too dim and yellowish, and insufficient for reading a map or any printed material. This Big Horn only has one dial by the light switch, and that one controls the brightness of the dash instrumentation. My first question is: Do all Big Horns lack the dial for interior lights, or was my truck build subject to a parts shortage? Secondly, is there a way to install the equivalent of the missing dial? An adjustable dial mounted elsewhere would be great, but even a non-adjustable boost in brightness would be a big improvement.

Oh, you were saying that neither of your two dials affects the map lights and dome lights etc?

The stock interior lights are terrible. Many of us replaced the interior bulbs with LED and it makes a huge difference. Check out this thread, it lists LASFIT but I bought AUTOGINE from Amazon. Both should be about the same and are not hard to install.

Installing Lasfit's made a massive difference in mine.

Installed the autogines made world of difference
