2022 2500 with Cummins 6.7 diesel with no DEF

I recently bought a 2022 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins Diesel here in Brazil with no DEF. It doesn't have a tank, no filling hole. I am surprised by this and can't find much information regarding this. I have a couple questions that hopefully someone here can help with.

1. Does this affect performance at all (HP, consumption)?
2. I presume this is a good thing if it is legal.

According to this the 2500 has no DEF and the 3500 does.
