I have a 2021 Ram 6.4 hemi the oem air filter is 57008652AA

I went to get a Wix filter 46930 and its entirely a different filter in depth and width. The rubber seal fits the box fine this filter number checks out for the 6.7 diesel on the wix website but its what the parts guy gave me.

Any ideas if this is correct? It for sure does not have the same amount of pleats as the original but it is deeper.

Yea the Hemi requires whatever crosses over to the “AA” filter. The airbox is the same between the Hemi and diesel, you can use it if you had to (heck I’m running a “aa” still in my diesel with no issues), but technically it’s wrong.

I went to mopar parts dot com and the filter it shows is my original oem number is still available then it shows 5303451AB and my truck is not listed to use that filter even though its the exact match for the wix 46930 I was given

5303451AB is the original filter and the one that is supposed to be used by 19+ Cummins pickups.

57008652AA is the “new and improved” version that is fine for 18 and older Cummins, but the newer diesel trucks don’t like it.

From what I understand both filters are acceptable, but the 57008652AA is the recommended filter for the Hemi.

The best bet is to stick with the OEM air filter, but the Wix air filters have had a decent reputations in recent history and it’s even believed they made the HPCR 5.9 4” OEM filter.
