2021 Malfunction Indicator Light light has come on,,,why?

I have been driving the truck around town mostly. Took it on its first long highway trip. I'd stop after about an hour an thirty minute of driving to add some diesel fuel. I start the truck and an engine shaped light was on. I check the owners manual and it appears to be the "Malfunction Indicator Light"

Any idea what this light means? How to get it off?

First diesel truck so still learning things. Not thrilled with driving with the warning lights illuminated

Have to have it checked could be a number of things usually minor if the light is not flashing

Thanks. I thought I would ask a general question. We made it to our destination. Yet, we have a 4-5 hour drive back in a few days.

I'm sure it could be any number of items which tripped the warning light. It is not flashing, which Im glad of.

You can take it to just about any auto parts store and have it scanned. They can at least tell you the code and then google is your friend.

^ Yes, you need to have it scanned with a code reader. It literally could be 100 different things causing it.

Finally was able to scan and find out what code had popped up. It was P24B1 code, seems it is related to "pending particulate matter sensor"

The code was cleared, that's it at this point.
Dealer said they need to see the truck with icon illuminated so they can pull the code themselves.
