2021 CP-ISB21S3 rattle

I bought a 21 HO to hopefully avoid issues surrounding the CP4. Between 1000-1400 RPM Im getting what sounds like major timing rattle. It's similar in sound of a gas engine running low octane fuel. I had an appointment to address a few minor warranty issues and asked for them to look into it. They said the sound is the pump and is normal. Can anyone with a 21 confirm this is in fact normal?

I'll take that rattle any day over a CP4 threat.

The good thing is IF it blows on you, only the pump will die and it will be a quick replacement. When the CP4 goes, it takes out the injectors and the fuel system with it.

Sucks to have annoying concerns on a new truck, but don't fear catastrophic fuel system failure. Worse that can happen is the pump dies, you're stranded, but aren't saddled with a full fuel system rebuild.

Also, since its a diesel, especially with active shutters and a SCR/DPF system, expect to hear new weird rattles and sounds every day.
