2021 3500 OEM Remote Start Range

The range seems very limited, like 20’. Is this an issue with the remote battery or something else to investigate? Remote is fairly new so I wouldn’t think the battery is low but I’ve been surprised before.

from inside my building, I can remote start my 1500.

This may sound stupid, but on previous models you could touch your chin with the fob, hold it there and press the remote start or unlock button and get better range.

That’s funny you mention this. When I’m outa typical range I’ll do that and my wife always asks me what I’m doing. I saw that on tv once and by golly it works.
 
Still waiting on delivery, so downloaded the owners manual that say about 300’ unless obstacles block it!
 
I started mine today in the DIA parking garage from probably 100yds away - though it was line of sight at the front of the truck as I was backed in.
