2021 3500 HO Cummins won’t crank

How do I determine which battery to replace? Or just do both? That would be expensive.

When my '21 3500 SRW batteries died, they died! I was stuck at the Lowes parking lot. I didn't even get the typical starter noise, hello I need more juice sound. And you should replace both for longevity of the batteries. And ,as has been said here already, I would let Wally do it as they are not the easiest to disconnect and haul out of the engine bay

IBS will just cut power to start with a low voltage battery.
 
I just replaced the batteries in my 2022 last weekend. The previous weekend used the truck all was fine no issues at all. 3 days later no start. Lights worked fine, everything seemed fine until you pushed the start button lights would go to zero. Went to Wally World to pick up the previously mentioned Walmart batteries. They website said they had them in stock so went to pick them up. Couldn’t find them and was told they had just pulled them due to a recall, something about putting out too many amps. True, unsure, but that is what the Walmart auto employee told me so had to go elsewhere and had to pay 259 a battery instead of Walmarts much lower price for their comparable agm with 4 yr warranty

except for the Wally issues, that is exactly how my truck acted
 
Actually I found the problem. A mouse. Nested underneath the passenger side battery and chewed a bunch of stuff. So which wire prevents the starter from cranking? 2021 model.
 
Although I buy batteries at Wally World, I don’t let them touch my truck…..they are even worse than the dealerships in my book. Sometimes, we don’t have a choice and I understand, but that is my stance at this point in life.

Intelligent Battery Sensor

It's the block attached to the NEG battery post on the driver side battery. It monitors SOC of the battery and AFAIK, one of the many functions is if voltage is too low, the ECU won't let the engine crank.

If you jump start, make sure the NEG cable is on the ground/chassis side, not directly on the battery post. Give it a minute or two to sense good voltage. Boost boxes usually time out after 60 seconds, so a 2nd cycle may be needed.

Thread 'No Start just "Click"'

Brand new 2022 2500. 1800miles.

Went to start truck after sat in parking lot for about an hour and it just makes a single click noise. It does not even attempt to start. Tried jumping, no luck. Dealer sent a tow truck to pick up and it's going to get looked at in the morning.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help!
