I have a 2021 Ram 2500 (45K miles) that keep throwing code C15A1-00 (Unable to attain Ride Height) intermittently, this code is what shows up in my Snap On Solus Scanner. I can hear the compressor running and the ride adjusts to proper height. Any idea of the cause?? The air ride will go down overnight, so I know there is a leak somewhere......I did leak check all the fittings on the lines at compressor and tank, with no leaks noted. I have disconnected the battery and reset fault and drove another 400 miles and no faults appeared. Are the airbags known to leak??

Did you check for leaks from lines into bags? Air Bags are pretty robust. You can try pushing in air lines into ports of compressor and ports of air bags. Back in the day when I worked on them we would put marks on the lines so that when thjey are pushed into the ports you would know they are in far enough for the O-ring to seal the line. I dont know if Ram did this but pushing the line in wont hurt as long as you are fairly gentle doing it.

Zeeman.....thanks for the reply, I have not put leak check on the bag fittings, I actually couldn't see them, crawling underneath...... I know there is a leak for the suspension goes down after about 2 hours to level. I was thinking about pulling the line going to the bags and using my smoke machine on the system.....but not sure if that would hurt the bags long term. I wouldn't think so, since I am sure they are similar rubber to the engine component/hoses that you use the same smoke machine to look for leaks. I am open to any ideas......

Is your snap on scanner capable of doing system air mass measurement? If so run that. If air mass is low then you for sure have a leak. If it’s not low then there may be a different issue

I dont think smoke will hurt the system. The compressor uses desicant and breathing to "replentish" the air for "dry" air in the sealed system. Adding Moisture to system is NOt good but smoke probably only makes the air / dessicant smell like what ever your smoke smells like. Not with the company that makes the compressor anymore so cant confirm this.
