Purchased a 2021 2500 a couple of weeks ago and they immediately notified me of the recall a couple of days later. I have been driving a "loaner" 2500 since. They are "waiting" for the part...............Does anyone know how long that might take? The Service department can't give me any timeline???? Anyone have experience with this issue?

I don't mind driving their loaner (having fun pushing all the buttons on a truck that is not mine) but I would like to get my truck back. I appreciate any comments.

Thanks for the update Rob, I really appreciate it. Safety is the first priority and I am grateful for a near similar vehicle. I hope that I can extend warranty, sirius, Uconnect, etc. for the missed time.

Rob just an update, the dealership called today and said the truck was ready and the recall completed!

Rob,
Trust but verify, correct? .........I sat down with the sales manager and he and I reviewed the email that included the document to fix the relay. It was a matter of "sealing" the relay with silicon and putting it back on the truck.

On another note, my truck was sent over from another sister dealership and only one key fob as sent. I was told they couldn't find it and another is, unfortunately on back order! Is this truly the case? Makes me rather nervous to only have one key fob..............thoughts? I do value your expertise.

There should be a second key fob somewhere for your truck. Was it a new truck? My second key fob was in a large envelope with my owners manual.

Anyone able to get this recall done. I called the dealer and there telling me no parts available.

I was looking at a truck to buy and the dealer called me and said they cannot sell it because it's awaiting parts.

Went to a second dealership and they've got two trucks that are already sold sitting there waiting on parts because they can't deliver the trucks until the recall is performed.

This is what happens when an automaker can't leave well enough alone. Stop changing the trucks every other year and maybe they could have something reliable without issues for a change.

If they don't keep changing and upgrading they won't sell any.. everyone wants the latest and greatest..
This recall sounds like maybe they got a bunch of bad relays or maybe just a few in the batch but there recalling every truck sold before they found the problem.. not sure, but at least they caught it quick..
