I thought I would put this on here for any future guys looking for this information. I searched the internet high and low and never found a direct answer on how to get rid of the Blinker out warning and the blind spot error message that I got after installing a flatbed and removing factory led tail lights with blind spot sensors. I was able to piece the info together through multiple sources so wanted to leave it here in one spot.
You will need alfa obd to change these settings. I am no expert in alfa but found enough information and messed with it enough to fix these problems.
To Disable Blind spot alert:
-Connect to your BCM
-Go to active diagnostics tab
-Scroll to bottom and select "car configuration change"
-go to "cabin net RBSM right blind spot modular"
--select value "not enable"
-go to "cabin net BSS blind spot sensor / LBSS left blind spor sensor"
--select value "not enabled"
-go to "doors blindspot mirror present"
--select value "no"
-go to "vehconfig 7- active blind spot present"
--select value "no"
-go to "cust.set menue 1-blind spot alert can present"
--select value "no"
To fix the hyper flashing and blinker out warning:
-go to "rear light dts disable"
--select value "yes"
Hope this helps. I am going to play with combining the tails and blinkers like on the newer trucks, if I figure that out I will update here.
