Hello everyone
New here on the thread, wanting to know my truck better and finding people with similar thoughts, questions and experiences with their trucks. Thanks!

Welcome aboard ! If you are unaware check to see if your fuel pump has been upgraded or is still the CP-4 . Many posts on here to identify which one you have . If not see a dealer to have it done . It is a recall and free !

Thank you! Just had the fuel pump recall done in October at the dealership. My reason and interest in this forum is for a new issue that recently occured.
After the fuel pump replacement was done, drove my Ram 30 miles to my garage and parked it inside. Last weekend was going to use it to haul some implements on a trailer. When I started it up.. the brakes were doing a weird thing and truck was whinning. Backed it up some and found a fluid leak under the front carriage/motor area. Futher inspection revealed it was the power steering fluid. How the heck did that happen? I have a towing company coming Thursday to pick it up and take it back to the dealer. Its under warranty but its a pain in the keister! And as my dealer said, yes you can put the fluid in and possibly get it here..But what if its leaking out really fast? Probably not a good idea to risk it as its connected to brakes as well.

There’s been more than a few reports of fluid leaks after the techs have replaced the CP4.2. I’m sure trying to knock as many out per day for flat rate work does not help the QC.

Thank you! Have a guy and a gal in Service dept at Yellowstone Country Motors in Livingston Mt that have been very helpful. Always appreciate more insight and help though.

You have your job cut out for you then! Ram Trucks are really popular! Thanks for the imput! Was hoping I wasn’t going Crazy!

A replacement (longer) PS line is required as part of the Y78 recall.

Seems some techs are not doing good final QC on their Y78 jobs. I say that knowing I haven't seen (yet) any reports of faulty PS lines/parts on any of the forums/FB.
