2020 RAM 2500 Towing Specs, Bighorn with Crew Cab

I plan on refreshing travel trailers, my RAM has 3.73 Axle Ratio, 6.4l Heavy Duty V8 Hemi with MDS, 8 spd auto 8HP75-lCV trans, GVW 10,000#.
The RAM website has Mega Crew cab not Crew Cab and other sites either have 14,380 or 13,970
for towing capacity and est payload 2,940 lbs. Hope to get a 2022 Artic Fox 25W GVWR 10,700 lbs dry 6,831 lbs. I think I should be
fine here in Colorado up/down the mountain passes? thx the best source to look this stuff up?

The math is something like GVWR (10,000 lbs) minus payload (2,940 lbs) = Base weight 7,060
Max tow 14,380 + base weight 7,060 = 21,440 GCWR

A diesel is better for towing at altitude but you should be fine with that trailer as long as you are within your payload capacity

We went to/over Cerro Summit Mountain pass 8,042 ft coming from Grand Junction 4,583 ft, max trans temp was 168/169, coming back
empty, not towing, trans temp was 167/168 so seemed not to matter yea! Next test is to go over the big passes at > 10,000 ft!

It's not the temps, I think the issue is more about naturally aspirated engines losing +/- 3% power for every 1000ft of elevation.
