Well, I'm already pretty flustered with the way my truck shifts with the 68RFE tranny.
I am trying to resolve the issue by going with a Ram 3500 w/Cummins HO with the Aisin tranny or trading for a Duramax in a Chevy/GMC with the Allison 10 speed. One of our fellow members said he to was disgusted with the tranny shifting causing him to look for a tuning kit. He went with Calibrated Power Duramax tuner. He says that it make night and day difference in the shifting characteristics of the 68RFE.

I called Calibrates Power and they told me the same thing. I love the power of my Cummins, pulls my 303 quite well.

Has anyone used the Duramax tuner in there truck and if so, would you give me some feedback on your application?
Has anyone tried a different one with good results?

2019-2021 GMC/Chevy 2500/3500's are hard to come by right now......hoping the tuner might do the trick.

Thanks for input.

There is a whole thread on Calibrated Power Tunes.

Just FYI, the new 10 speed Allison isn’t really an Allison, it’s a Ford/GM tranny made in house. They are paying tons of money to Allison to keep putting that Allison banging on those trucks.
I read a lot of horror stories about that 10 speed on both brands Fords and GMs.
I’d recommend getting the HO with the Aisin.

If you are that unhappy with the shifting of the 68 a tuner is Not going to make you happy. It can make an improvement but it will never be a 10 (or 8) speed. On top of that you are voiding you warranty so keep that in mind.

.

Have it do a relearn perhaps your driving habits caused it to shift bad, i have 0 issues with my 68rfe when i got the truck i drove it hard so it now shifts how i feel it should

What dont you like about the shifting?

I was curious what you don't like about the trans? I've had 4 HD's with the 68RFE, and all have performed just fine.
