The changes to the heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 are a little less extensive, mainly increasing the availability of new optional equipment. Lane keep assist and adaptive steering are now available on all trim levels, as is blind spot monitoring and trailer tire pressure monitoring. The auxiliary camera system supports two different cameras now, and you now get a standard 50-gallon fuel tank on crew-cab models with the 8-foot bed. Black wheels are now available on the 2500 Power Wagon off-road model, and two new paint colors can be had on any of these trucks: Hydro Blue and Olive Green. https://news.pickuptrucks.com/2019/08/heres-whats-new-for-2020-ram-full-size-trucks-1.html

Read this on another article: Blind-spot Monitoring, including easy-to-use trailer coverage, now available

So essentially, Ram finally completed what we they were supposed to do with the 19 trucks. Thoughts?

Looks like a 2018 diesel tank is $760ish in Rock Auto. The second that 50 gallon is available from the parts department it will get added to my 2019 Megacab that is on the way.

Does anyone know what this lane keep assist is? Is it auto pilot or just a device that vibrates the wheel when you are about to leave ur lane?

Had that o.on my limited 1500 it is horrible it is the worst thing u can have on these busses if you try to change lanes for what ever reason with out signal you will be fighting the truck and these big busses handle very differently then the 1500

I had Lane Keep Assist on the 2019 1500 and it can be turned on/off...

It will help keep you in your lane, so if you happen to drift a little, the wheel will turn and nudge you back into your lane, if it does it too often, it sends a warning.
If you fail to use your turn signal and try to switch lanes, you will feel resistance in the wheel as it tries to keep you in your lane.

Like @Jj517 said, not sure if this is something I'd want when towing, but for 'normal' driving around it isn't bad.

I'd much prefer the Blind Spot detection to include the trailer...hopefully that is just a software update.

Agreed. Mostly stuff they promoted for '19 and failed to deliver. The fuel tank is the real bummer, as I ponied up for a Titan 55 gal OEM replacement. That alone would have saved me over $1K. I knew I should have waited for 2020.

I hope so as well, that it is just a software update for the Blind Spot Detection. Going to reach out to my dealer to see if that is an option.

Is the night appearance package going to be a thing for 2020? I saw some articles, but most of it related to the 1500.

When do you think the 2020 HDs will be available for ordering?

I was told ordering got pushed back again until November

Ill be doing the same. I am adding a FuelBox FTC40 box and fuel tank combo, plus a new tank in the midship (hopefully 40+gal for the megacab???) would be outstanding

Dont know which I like better the new blue or the green. The drab green would be pretty bad ass on a lifted truck. I think the blue looks like similar to the 2nd Gen bright blue, I had a 2001 sport that was a great color.

If that is what it is, i dont care for it at all. My 2019 bmw x5 has semi auto driving feature. it also has the lane keep assist that will nudge you and make it harder to get out of your lane without the turn signal. The lane keep assist is actually real annoying and a little dangerous if you fail to put your turn signal on. The semi auto driving feature is awesome, but i have the lane keep assist off. So if the lane keep assist is like the bmw and what you mentioned, i dont care for it at all.

I read somewhwere that the adaptive steering wheel function the 2020 is supposed to have, is basically just a sensitivity for the steering wheel. at slow speeds the ratio of the steering wheel to steer tires increases so you dont need as many revolutions. Cool feature but nothing too crazy.

Trailer tire pressure monitoring is real cool. We need to find a way to retrofit this to our trucks.

I'd imagine that the lane assist will work exactly like it does in the Grand Cherokees. It's fine and the nudge is easy to overcome if you switch lanes without using the blinker. My wife has a 2018 Trailhawk with that feature.

Just read this. As someone that's going to tow a lot, a bigger fuel tank option would have been great on my 2019. I have a mega cab short bed, do you think the 50gal could be upgraded at the dealership once it's available?

It'll probably be the same price as the TItan tank. However, they could probably change the distance to empty to read correctly.

The F150 guys upgrade to the larger factory tank all the time.

Has the larger capacity tank been confirmed to fit the mega cabs

I thought it was just a crew cab long bed option

Is the new Olive Green the same as the F8 Green on some of the other FCA products?

It's ridiculous that we got a weird green before the single pigment grey that is available on the Jeep vehicles.

Sting Ray Gray? I like some greens but I really like that F8 Green on the Challengers.
