I have a 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 with 8 peed transmission and have had a few issues can’t get it in to be looked at yet. One issue I’ve had is while towing in tow haul mode after some time I stopped at light and when taking off jerks then got stuck in second gear. Second while towing with the ac on and tried to accelerate and shuddered then lose all power and just revs with dash saying it’s in 5th gear. Also has done this when not towing just driving. On highway. Both instances I pull over shut the truck off and start it again and will drive fine. Has done both things more than once. Does anyone have any clue what it could possibly be or even experienced anything like this? If so what was the fix?

My 2020 2500 6.4 did something similiar to me ONE time. It was back in September and I came up behind several cars that were kind of doing an engine dle roll on a two lane road that had a tree down blocking our lane after hurricane Helene. We were slowly rolling forward and going into the opposite lane to get around the tree. As I cleared the tree i pressed on the gas and it kind of stuttered doing a bump-slip-bump-slip for a few seconds and then the engine RPM went up but no speed. I quickly turned the gear selector knob to Neutral and then back to Drive and it went into gear and was okay. Has not done it again since them. Have no idea what would have caused that.
