If there is a thread on this already feel free to point me to it but all I found was non HD conversions. I have a 2020 3500 Tradesmen with the oem folding tow mirrors with the normal power options (heat, adjustment), I’d like to upgrade to the power fold tow mirrors. If anyone has done this and has some part numbers or know what alphaODB options to use I’d certainly appreciate it.

Here are the part numbers of what you need.... Don't be surprised if they are on back order.View attachment 22212

Thanks! At least I know what I need parts wise and what it might cost me. Have you explored what it would take for BCM mods with AlphaODB or are you planning on having your dealer do it ?

This thread should help. I did mine myself with guidance from @Jimmy07 since I am not tech savvy at all.

If you have any questions or issues he is the guy to contact and will walk you right thru it.

Question on the power folding portion. Will they also fold manually as well ? I’m thinking like from an impact. Just never used the power fold tow mirrors before.

The door module. Where does that go ? The parts drawings aren’t really explicit.

Also, having a hard time between the other thread where it seems they are putting in a manual fold and I’m looking for a power fold tow mirrors with the defrost and power adjust. Sorry for all the questions.

Yes, you can manually fold them to the closed position. Here is a better thread covering the powerfold install. I knew there was one , I just had to dig for it.

That thread was awesome thanks. Pic with the door module circled was especially helpful in trying to visualize this. So just to make sure I don’t make an expensive mistake in ordering parts , what did your tow mirrors have for options on them and were they all black ? I need the power fold , power adjust, defrost, puddle light, turn signal options on mine. Damn part sites are confusing and don’t list them all out.

Those part numbers are for the power fold mirrors that look exactly like the ones that you already have. The only part that will look different is the master door controller.
The first pic shows the controller with the power fold button. The second with the power folds installed.

Thanks again that really helps. I watched a video on removing the door panel that didn’t seem all that hard too. All that’s left is to do some shopping for price and availability and get all those parts headed this way.

I'm glad those threads helped. They show what great people belong to this forum. I can't say enough about @Jimmy07 his knowledge and willingness to help are invaluable. If you have any questions do not hesitate to PM him. He has the answers.
I wouldn't wait getting those parts. They removed the power fold mirrors as an option and from all trim levels except the limiteds because of short supply.( microchips).
If there are any out there to had I jump on them . It looks like they going to back ordered for a long time.

Got them all ordered. Went with Tasca Parts since they allegedly had everything in, took a few days to let me know they didn’t so orders replacement elsewhere. Lesson learned don’t ever order from a place that doesn’t have a phone number published. Anyway should be installing nexts week if everything comes in.

Good for you in scoring the parts.

It's a pretty easy install. The biggest p.i.t.a.is removing the Alpha OBD bypass cable connectors from the canbus block behind the dash.

I could use an easy install! Lol. Last thing I did was hook up the hood latch sensor for the remote start. Lost some skin on that one getting wire in the right spot. Yes that bypass cable can be a pain to get hooked up. I just left mine in and tucked it away connected to the canbus.

Successful installation! You were correct it was one of the easiest installations I’ve done to date. Found a YouTube video on taking off the door panel. Just needed to enable one option in AlfaODB.
