New to me 2020 2500 Big Horn. Noticed an odd virbration when truck is in overdrive and going around 35 mph in slow traffic when i give it a little gas to speed up.( not until after i bought it) If i shft into 8th or 7th gear it no longer happens or when running at faster speeds when not slowing down. Just spoke with a guy that told me that this is a problem with Rams? Any other having simular problem and/or found a fix?

On my 2020 6.4 Ram that is when it is lugging just a bit and the MDS is active, so I think it is pinging just a bit.

MDS is the cylinder deactivation system. It shuts down half the cylinders to save fuel. If the Eco light is on then MDS is active.

Deleting MDS will reduce MPG. There isn’t a “delete” available for our trucks, but you could either hit the button every time or get a Tazer that has a setting to disable it.

Lots of people are doing those, but I don’t think anyone has done an actual test accurate enough to see the difference.

K glad to know it is just a quirk with the the design and just annoying not a true issue.
