I am researching and working out the details on adding the surround view cameras to my Tradesman. Overall, I think I have an decent idea of what I need to do this. But when looking at the grilles on the various parts' sites it's hard to see exactly what's what. Are the grilles not sold as one part? It looks like there are several pieces to each type of grille with separate part numbers (and separate costs). Are there any parts of my current grille that would fit on another grille that will accept the front camera? And/or, if I have to buy multiple new grille 'parts', is there a simple way to know what parts go with what other parts to make a full grille?

I think all of the current grilles are equally appealing - the reason for a change is purely matter of function. Here's my current grille for reference:

Your chrome grille surround is 7 total pieces including the upper trim backing that will fit any other grille. The chrome "nostrils" or C pieces on either side as well as the RAM badge will also. The clips that hold these pieces in are fragile and the grill needs to be removed to remove those 3 pieces. Plus the grille itself is a separate piece of course. Those parts are all interchangeable. As far as what is needed for the cams, I'm not sure. I have pics when I did mine, just can't find them.

I've removed all the chrome on mine and painted them to match the body color. Didn't remove the grille, but others on here have. Here's what it looks like with chrome removed and separated from the vehicle. Was thinking about getting a Night ED grille for my next truck since that package isn't offered in a Chassis Cab.

Not trying to advertise for the seller. But this grille has the forward cam housing. Part number is listed in the pics as well. Might get one.

Pics of surround removed. I just pried off the RAM letters as I didn't care what happened to them. Replaced with matte black lettering and plastidipped the C "nostrils". There are a few vids on the Youtubes on how to remove. The lower pieces under the headlights are the hardest as they are held in with large plastic fasteners/square rivet style (not sure what you call them). Pry from the outer edge in. There is a plastic clip that slides in on the inner portion that can easily be broken, so as you struggle to get the outer edge up first, be careful as not to yank it fully off. Just until it pops out then slide the inner plastic clip free. There is backing on the lower piece as well, so 8 total pieces for the surround. Those can be reused as well. Last Pic shows clips that hold the surround onto the backing

That's very helpful, @rossagge. Do you have a photo of what the grille all put back together looked like? I'm curious how the billet silver and the rest of the chrome (bumper) and plasti-dipped pieces looked together. If I'm gonna be taking apart the grille, I might as well look at all my options.

NP. Here is the grille put back together all painted up with the chrome bumper. I ended up replacing that front with the Ranch Hand Midnight bumper.

Thanks. I meant to drop your username in here for 01Time to search as I know you have done some nice grille mods on your's as well. Figured you'd jump in eventually. Haha.
I just sold mine. Gonna have to do it all over again on my new truck as the Chassis Cab doesn't have the Sport or Night Ed packages. Oh well, fun modding it out.

Doing mods is fun for sure. Keep us posted
