2019 Ram AC Issues

Recently purchased a used 2019 Ram 2500 with 6.4 Hemi. After being disappointed with ac performance I turned to this forum and have found a lot of great info. My question is anyone still using the heater core line valve hack and has anyone experienced any negative issues with it. One concern is that the lines from heater core appear to go to what looks like an oil cooler.
 
Good call for an update on side effects of the valve install. Mine is at the dealer currently getting the TSB done but this will be my next plan if it doesn’t improve.

If you mean the 'radiator' looking thing, that's the heater core...
My understanding is that it will not adversely impact anything (aside from no heat and your defrost probably won't work (because no heat) provided you entirely shut the valve) ... it just stops coolant from entering the heater core.

I believe @thestuarts and @John Jensen put in the valve... not sure who else.

Ok thanks. I’m not sure of the technical name of it, but the coolant line leaves the water pump then enters the firewall then leaves the firewall (and heater core) then goes to the oil filter housing then back into coolant system. The oil filter housing part of this is where I’m concerned. Maybe not important? The valve definitely dropped the AC out the vent temp from 59*F to 45*F.
 
I've only closed the valve a couple of times traveling across the desert in the summer heat. Don't know that I needed to, but it definitely gets colder faster. Had to shut off the air when it got too cold as there’s no controlling it. No indications of any problems nor have I heard of any from other users of the valve.

Truck in the shop on a follow up visit for the AC TSB... but I'm pretty sure the coolant just flows to/from the block.
I'm trying to find a coolant flow diagram, but all I'm finding are 'general' diagrams and one for the 6.7.
