2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman DRW Questions after Lift Kit

Recently put a 3 inch Cognito Leveling kit on my 2019 Ram 3500 DRW. In the front I installed Coils, shocks, track bar(all cognito) and radius arms(BDS), as well as dual steering stabilizers(bilstein). In the rear I installed new shocks and 2 inch blocks under the leaf springs. Also mounted some 35x12.50 Nitto trail grapplers on my stock wheels. All in all, the trucks handles bumps much better and the steering wheel has very little play. That being said, there are a few things bothering me after the fact. I have some questions on how to improve the overall ride of the truck now.

- I’ve adjusted the toe and Caster a few times and I’m okay with how it drives, but I can’t get rid of the left pull. There is very little play in the steering wheel and all steering components seem to be in good shape. Driver side caster is in the neutral position per the BDS instructions. They say passenger side caster should be at the neutral position also, but with them both in the neutral position the truck sags about an inch on the passenger side. I’ve adjusted the passenger caster slightly to the rear to get the truck within 3/8 inch of level from side to side, any more than that and the steering gets squirrelly on me. What adjustments need to be made here to get the geometry in the front end correct?

- My second problem, there seems to be a slight “hop” coming from the rear of the truck. Sometimes worse than other times. The passenger rear tire sticks out VERY slightly further than the driver rear, I’m talkin maybe a quarter inch. Could the axle be out of square with the frame and be causing the hop? Or Is there a better way to lift the rear of these DRW 3500s such as a Carli Add a pack?

I’ve been reading forums on this site trying to get answers to these questions but I couldn’t find anything quite specific enough to my problems. This is my first solid axle vehicle so I’m kind of learning as I go.

Thanks in advance

The pull you are experiencing is probably the Dual SS. That's a common side effect when people use a dual SS, there really is not any benefit to a dual vs a single. As long as the truck steering and suspension components are good you really do not even need a SS. I drove a Jeep with 37s and a 4" lift with no SS for years.

What do you mean by hop? Like on rough roads? Since you are stuffing a 12.5 wide tire on 6" stock wheels, I am assuming you have a spacer in the rear to keep the duals from rubbing? The tire sticking out further on one side might be due to the spacer.

Removed one of the bilstein stabilizers to make it just the single mounted in the stock position. Got rid of a lot of the pull. Still pulls to the left every so slightly, but can definitely live with it. I’m assuming the rest of the left pull comes from the trail grapplers. Lots of people saying that those tires have a slight left pull.
