So my battery the other day went completely dead the other day. It was a 3 or 4 year battery so pretty old but didn't really give me any warning before. Tried charging with no luck so I bought a new one put it in problem solved. After driving home I have a check engine light so I scanned it to see what was wrong. 5 codes popped up oxygen sensor, fuel bank running rich, ecm not initialized, and a 2/1 fuel rich. So I erased all but one permanent one to see if it would fix itself. I'm guessing the battery was so dead the ecm has to relearn some of the issues. A few went away the next day but still saying it's running rich. Well now a get a message saying service active tuned Mass module. Also noticed it won't go into eco mode now. Anybody have any suggestions?

What is the permanent code? The bank 2 sensor 1 rich code?

P0174 2/1 lean is permanent p2099 downstream fuel trim system 2 rich pending p0174 fuel system 2/1 lean pending p0174 fuel system 2/1 lean stored just scanned it right now

So just one code or two? p0174 is a Bank 2 (passenger side of engine) lean code. Start with the basics making sure there aren't any post MAF sensor air leaks like a loose intake boot. Also make sure there aren't any lines disconnected - especially ones that would feed the intake primaries on the passenger side of the engine. If this happened right after replacing the battery then look in that area first for bumped items.

Pull the battery cables off for an hour then reattach them this will reset the computer it may fix the issue if not a look at the scanner is needed
