2019+ Harman Kardon Amp in 4th Gen Alpine system truck

Hi all,

I was toying around with the idea to swap the entire HK sound system of a newer 2019+ truck into my 4th Gen. My 2015 has the 9 speaker alpine system but my 2022 has the HK and it is so much better. I checked and the speakers and sub will bolt right in, so that is easy. Not sure if the speakers make enough difference that the amp is not really necessary. But out of curiosity, wiring wise I think by repinning the connectors, the 2019+ HK amp should bolt in or "plug" in. However I am not sure if this Amp works out of the gate or needs to be programmed some way?

Also the HK has active noice canceling, which my truck obviously does not have and which I do not really want to add. But if I just do not connect the ANC module and mics, would the system still work? Is there a way to turn the ANC feature off with AlfaOBD?

And I know some people might say, just do a custom audio, and yes that could be easier, but I like to keep things OEM and I love the HK in my 2022. Since that is going away this spring I want to try to add some of its features to my 2015.

@Jimmy07 , do you maybe have some information on this?

Thanks guys!

One addition, I noticed my 2015 Alipne Sub has 4 wires, the HK 2022 sub has only 2 but the same connector. If I look up the wiring diagram for a 2020 (newest I have), it also lists 4 wires for the sub. Tha part number for the HK sub is the same from 2019 to 2024 though.

Does anyone know what the Alpine sub has 4 wires and the HK only has 2?

Does anyone have info on why the Alpine 9 speaker sub uses 4 wires and the HK 17 speaker uses only two? Does that mean that the HK sub will not work with an Alpine Amp?
