Not real familiar with Rams but it has the 5.7 hemi with the 8 speed automatic and most definitely the sound is coming from rear of vehicle if I baby it when taking off it is fine if I hit gas normal it will make that noise I thought it maybe a sticking caliper but it wasn’t the problem

Has the Trans mount been checked? You have a 1/2 ton (1500) you would be better off on a form more dedicated to them this site is geared towards HD rams (2500/3500/4500/5500)
