Hello fellow ram fans. I have removed my stahl utility bed off of my 2014 2500 4 door and purchased a 2019 long bed with electric push button tailgate. Does anyone have ideas as to where I would splice the 3 wires coming from tailgate pigtail as pictured below. (I’m not installing camera)
The 3 wires from pigtail are green, tan/green and black. The green wire (along with black ground) goes to the push button. The tan/green (along with black ground) goes to latch mechanisms on both sides of the tailgate.
It seems like I would need to splice into the lock/unlock circuit on one of the doors but aren’t sure which one or which wires.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

No, do not splice them to lock/unlock circuits, that’s not how the electric tailgate release works. Ground the black wire. The green wire from the handle switch goes to pin 8 of the C6/F connector on the BCM, using one of these terminals- https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...LVHml8q9WkxbSlYJvdq3CTzn8529qks5uwEZ7Am4Cvg==
The wire from the latches goes to pin 4 of the C6/F connector on the BCM, using one of these terminals-
If the latches do not automatically start working with the handle switch, you’ll need to use AlfaOBD to enable those circuits on the BCM. When I did this on my 2017, they were already enabled.
