I have seen a number of posts on A/C performance wanted to see if my experience is similar to others. I ordered a new 2019 2500 HD Limited Hemi 6.4 gas and picked it up May 27. Drove it the first few weeks AC seemed a bit weak but didn't think too much of it but decided to have the dealer check it out. They said they turned it on and it was ok a truck needs a bit more time. Then the summer hit in Texas and the AC just wasn't like my chevy or honda. So I decided to start measuring air vent temps and compare the 3 vehicles in similar conditions. Honda, Chevy and the New RAM Truck. 92 degrees noon lots of humidity. Inside cabin temp. Hot to say the least. Set AC on recirculate, set temp all the way down to LO. Put the vent thermometer in and drove for 30 min. Best I could get the vent temp to be was 60 - 62 degrees depending on which vent. Cabin temp would get to 85 degrees not very comfortable but not outside. Changed everything to Max AC, Max Fan same results. Tried AUTO same results. Drove for 20 min on freeway. Same temps. Turned off the recirculate and vent temp rose past 70 degrees. Cabin became uncomfortable to say the least. NEXT: Chevy and Honda did the same thing with them right after the truck same conditions similar settings. Vent temps went to 39-40 degrees within 5 min on both vehicles. Vehicle cabin temp went into the mid 60s easily. Bottom line the truck is not acceptable. I contacted RAM and the dealer. RAM opened a case number and the truck is back in the dealer shop. A RAM rep was assigned and when I shared the data with her she agreed that can't be acceptable. I basically said if they can't get the luxury truck AC to match the chevy or honda then I plan on filing a lemon law and return the truck. Gave the salesman a heads up as he really was great. I really want them to find the problem as the rest of the truck is truly outstanding. I am afraid it is a systemic problem with the RAM A/C design as I keep seeing the same issue in a number of places on the internet. I have given RAM a chance as I was so impressed with all the reviews and youtube videos but this is a deal breaker for me. Any info would be helpful.

Didnt see the other thread on this issue until after i posted. Will follow that one. Alot of helpful info

I posted a link to the lengthy conversation over on the 1500 board... the AC is working 'normally'... however what they decided is 'normal' sucks.
