Hello all,

I am in the market for a new gas truck and wow is it an interesting time to be in the market. 2019 rams open for order, 2020 super duty and GM’s right around the corner.

I’ve been a half ton guy my whole life, f150 from 2003-2008, GM guy since 2008.

Today I test drove a ‘19 super duty and an ‘18 ram 2500.

A couple observations and questions:
I loved the Ram interior and the Hemi - I have read on this forum that the 8 speed makes it even better.

I preferred the super duty mirrors.

Are the ‘19 ram mirrors improved? The super duty had portrait style mirrors and the ram had landscape. Maybe it’s a preference that grows on you over time? Or maybe the portraits are an option?

I felt like the super duty steering was tighter than the ram’s. I know very little about both but is it possible the ford’s is electronic assisted and the ram’s is not?

Do we think the ram’s steering will be tighter on the 19?

I hope my questions aren’t coming across as negative. I went into this thinking I wouldn’t like either truck and walked away being wow’s by both of them.

Thank you.

The Rams tow mirrors flip from portrait to landscape. The 2019 8 SPD is going to make the 6.4l feel stronger. If your test drive was a 5.7 Hemi...you will be even more impressed(no more 5.7 in HD)

Not real sure about why the Steering differences
