I purchased my 2017 Ram used, 18 month's ago. The salesmen did not give me any help with how to use the UConnect. After a year, the only thing I've had success with is connecting my phone via blue tooth.
After installing the Uconnect app to my android phone, With the Data cable, I've tried to set up & use the apps from my phone on to the trucks media system, manly to use google maps with no success. I tried both USB connection in the truck.
I contacted FCA Canada customer care. I gave them my VIN# & was told that my unit will not be able to use the apps off my phone & it cannot be upgraded, even though it as Uconnect on the display. They may be should have labelled it as Udonot connect LOL.
My question is what are my options so that I can use Andriod Auto on the unit?
