I've owned my 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 since 2020 with 36K on it. Stealth Module has been on the truck since I purchased it run on the 3rd setting. I dont tow extremely often, probably 3-5 times per month with a dump trailer and my 25' flatbed with tractor on it.
Plenty of maintenance and oil/filter/fuel changes but did not do a transmission service as I honestly just forgot about it.
Started noticing a transmission noise under moderate to hard acceleration at around 70K. I googled and it seemed pretty normal for 68RFE so I let it go. About a month ago it got worse during a drive and I called my local diesel shop to inquire about it, they suggested turning off the Stealth Module and seeing if that helped, I turned it off but did not remove it. I would say very slightly better for a week or so and now I'm at 80K miles and its starting to get bad again, noticeable for sure.
So whats next? Dealership and try to get it done under warranty or is that a waste of time since I didnt do the required service. Try to just do a transmission service? Reset truck battery?
I just the truck for work every day so I'm trying to narrow down to best course of action on how to help this issue without loosing the truck for too many days.
