Hey all, looking for some help here. I’ve got a 2017 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi with around 65k miles, the truck has had no previous issues. Today while driving, the truck acted like it didn’t want to shift while going uphill at roughly 30mph. I then lost power steering, and brakes. I can’t remember if the truck itself completely died or not. I was able to turn my hazards on though. I turned the key off and tried to start again, I was able to roll the windows down, but the motor wouldn’t turn over. After letting the truck sit for 20 minutes, the truck started like normal, and no abnormal lights on the dash. A tow truck was already pulling up so I had it towed to the Dodge dealer, and the service manager was able to look at it. The truck started again, but when he revved it up, it died. He started it a second time, revved it more and it didn’t die. He thinks it could be something with the electrical? He checked the belt and it was still in place with no issues. No fluid was leaking out from underneath, and once the truck started again all gauges such as oil pressure, temp, etc were all in a normal band. Thanks for any help, sorry for the rambling.

First thing I would do is check all of the major electrical points. Grounds, battery, alternator, etc... If anything is corroded or loose, it sounds like this could cause your issues.

Of course none of that would be the tell-all, but relatively easy to inspect and adjust if needed.
