2017 2500 diesel, service 4 wheel drive light

My 2017 2500 won't shift into 4 wheel drive, I rarely use it but of course when I needed it, it didn't work. Turned knob to 4 wheel and the service 4 wheel drive light came on, wouldn't shift or engage. I pull a fifth wheel and need it now and then to get out of wet campsites. Any ideas? Thanks

No, check engine doesn't come on

There can still be codes without the light on. But its hard to say without having a scanner hooked up to see what the faults are in the 4wd system

Had it run at AutoZone, showed nothing, I don't have the system to do it
