2016 key fob on 2023?

I'll hopefully be taking delivery of my new 2023 3500 sometime in the next couple of months. I currently have 3 key fobs for my 16 3500. These things are kinda expensive so I'm hoping I could keep one and reprogram it to work with my new 23. Would this work?

Nope, not at all. Even if you could find someone with a tool to get them erased, it’s a completely different fob with different fcc id.

That's what I was fearing, guess the next owner of the 16 gets 3 fobs. Thanks for the reply...
