Just purchased this Ram truck, used but still in pretty good condition. I have had a Ram 1500 in the past and was thoroughly impressed with the 5.7 Hemi engine. I am 72 and have been a cabinetmaker most of
my life. I have built several homes and as one might imagine a pick up is a staple tool for any construction trades and then some :)

I have been dabbling in small construction projects and one cant really live on SS these days, also sitting watching reruns of Death Calley days until they drop me in a hole is not really appealing to me.

I bought a tractor and a tilt trailer to move the tractor and thus the need for a 3/4 ton truck. I love Timber framing and having a tractor allows me to lift timber frame trusses up and to unload materials and move them around
during any project.

Anyway driving this truck and its beefiness ( Is that a word? :-) ) makes me feel like the job is going to get done!!!

I need to stop this as I am starting to ramble :)

When others ask me if i am retired I tell them: When they drop me in a hole then I will be retired :-) Infact I dont think the Bible even has the word retired in it :)

Kind Regards, to ALL We certainly need more kindness in the world today ! Joe

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a nice business going. I pull our compact tractor around on a tilt trailer also. Great truck for towing, hardly notice the load back there. Post up a picture of the new ride, we like pictures around here.

So, I am a little bit slow. Here is a pic of my truck and also 2 pics of a device under the hood. This is probably a dumb question but does anyone know what this is and does?

The clear coat on this truck is failing and I am tempted to repair it myself, however since it is flaking off, and even if i sand down to the base color spraying over the top of failing clear coat seems like a mistake

Great looking truck! I believe your other picture is the PCM(Computer).

That is the PCM
Thanks I thought the computers were getting smaller. That is the biggest one I have seen, of course I am not really much of a mechanic. I used to work on my own vehicles back when a fuel pump had 2 bolts and mounted to the engine block, man I miss those days :-)
