Hi Everyone.

Second time offender here........

I had a 2014 Laramie Longhorn 3500 Dually that 2 weeks ago threw a trouble code, with a service DEF warning while towing a 5th wheel. I was on the first day of a 2 week vacation!
Shortly after, I got the 150 miles to limp mode. To cut a long story short. DEF Pump failure.
Dealer said he had 2 other 2014 - 2016 trucks in that week with the same failure and that pumps had been 'suspended' in inventory for investigation. Apparently this is happening nationwide.
Spoke to FCA on 2 occasions and they were unable to provide a date when pumps were going to be available,

I now have a 2020 Laramie 3500 Dually that's well optioned. The dealer took my truck in part exchange and gave me a great deal.
I finalized the deal last night and picked up the new truck today. Salesman told me they will have my old truck on the lot for some time. Apparently the parts Dept. advised them that DEF pumps will not be available until sometime next year!

Sorry to hear about your troubles but way to turn a negative situation around !! Congrats on the new ride. Hopefully you can salvage your trip. Looking forward to seeing some pics

Congratulations on the new ride! Saw this last night about a dealer wanting to replace the Def pump and injector. Good to know if it happens again and a stealership isn't close by. Or even if there is one close I guess. Looked pretty easy and he does reference other vids that helped.
