Hi folks,
during the brake component removal, the left front wheel, wheel spacer, and rotor were all fused on hard. To get the wheel off, I had to drop that corner 9 inches to the shop floor with the lug nuts all backed off a couple of turns. the spacer came off with lots of liquid wrench and beating it with a 40oz deadblow rubber malet. The rotor was FUZED on hard and after saturating with liquid wrench and tapping (vibration) for 10 minutes and letting it set for half an hour, had to finally go ballistic with a 45oz steel hamer for like 5 minutes before it finally came off.
Now the hub makes a dry rubbing sound when turned by hand. There's no play or slop, and it turns smoothly. I can't say whether it was making the noise before the rotor removal as I was not paying attention.
Should I just reassemble and drive? Any thoughts / input appreciated. Best regards, Hal
