For your truck you would need either the app on google play store for Android device, or software for windows download from the website.
You also need the OBD interface- OBD Link MX Bluetooth
And you’ll need a security gateway bypass cable- https://www.kaodtech.com/product-page/security-module-bypass
The interface does matter. Stay away from the cheap ones, as they might not be fast enough to make certain changes, and could have issues staying connected via Bluetooth during some changes. I always recommend the OBD Link interfaces- MX+ or LX for Bluetooth, SX or EX for USB connection. Sure, some people will come along and say they’ve had no issues making changes with their $10 elm 327 interface, but you’ll eventually come across certain changes they can’t do.Jimmy07,
Is there any one OBD Interface that works better than others?
Also does the Ez-Lynk Bypass Cable work okay or do you recommend the one in your link? EZ-Lynk is about half the price.
Just trying to piece this Alpha OBD stuff together.
Thanks........
I wanted to turn off the Low Beam only and leave the Signature Lights on for the DRL requirement.Don.t want to be the one that told you so, I would like to turn off my DRLs also, always been a parking light cruiser but, its a pretty pricey truck to have your insurance voided when someone or your self will be blamed for an accident when you have disabled a mandatory safety feature, just saying its your truck but an accident will be your fault
