17 or 18X9's ? 35's w/18-20 Offset? Back spacing, Bolt Pattern Etc...

So after mounting 35" Duratracs on the stock 17X8's I noticed that the 8" width was narrower than what Goodyear designed their 35's for. I also didn't like the way my PW drove with 35's squeezed on the 8" wide stock wheels. So I had them taken off and got a refund.

Going forward, I believe I'll be going with 17 or 18X9's and a 35X12.5 tire as I don't want to do any trimming nor want to change ring/pinion, at least for now. I do want the tire to be snow rated w/ the snow/mountain symbol but am not sure what is out there beside the Duratracs. Looking at Fuel Podium, Method 310/Con6 and Raceline 935G Defender wheels.

What is the general consensus on the ideal offset/back space? Also what is the bolt pattern? Thanks...

There are only three 17s with the correct backspacing for our trucks. AEV wheels are the correct offset. And then CJC Offroad has partnered with Method and Raceline to make wheels with the correct offset as well and those wheels are exclusive to them. Otherwise you need to go with an 18" wheel with a +18-25mm offset.

As for tires, I am running the Falken AT3W and love it. It has the mountain/snow rating.

lots of these questions popping up :)

^ what he said...

i'm running 18x9, 18 offset, with yokohama geolander a/t 35x12.5. fit is perfect. for me.

looks like that offset would be ideal with the PW's fender moldings

I think so. I went with the flaps but those smooth flares would be nice.
