Howdy, I searched and didn’t see a similar question or applicable answer.....so here goes:

I do not like the 20” wheels or OEM tires that come on the 2020 2500 night edition. I know some folks do like em.....so I’ll just say that I don’t.

I wanna put 35x12.5 wild peaks on it (no...this isn’t a tire question)

I do like the black rhino arsenal wheels. And I wanna do 17” rims.

here’s the question: Will 17” wheels clear the calipers?

I know that the power wagons have 17” wheels but they also have a tiny towing capacity (ironic considering their name is “power”) compared to Laramies. So I don’t know if there is a meaningful difference between the calipers on the PW vs the Laramie....and thus a difference in clearance in the 17”PW wheels vs the 18 or 20” Laramie wheels.

thoughts and constructive input?

thx

DRW comes with 17in and afaik, they have larger rear brakes than 2500. I believe fronts are identical.
Also, try online sites like carid to check fitment of wheels for your model. That should confirm it.

There are a lot of guys on here running 17s, there are more tires options for 17s to. The AEV wheels are 17s and they talk about why they chose their backspacing on them as well if you check out the site.

i can tell you there is very little clearance on Power Wagon wheels and the calipers. just need to make sure your tire installer realizes they can not use standard stick on weights they need to be thin ones.

I have the 17" Method 315's from CJC Off Road that they had made with custom backspacing. Lots of guys run 17's as has been said. 20's are cool... on my sports car. Actually, it only has 18/19 staggered but ya, love the look of a proper wheel and tire fitment for a heavy duty 4x4 truck.
