11.5” and 12” axle, same gasket?

Do the different size HD axles use the same gasket and is that gasket re-usable?

I do not know if they are the same gasket but yes they are reusable gaskets - at least once or twice (depending on age). I changed my diff fluids at 500 miles and they were both the nice o'ring/metal type gaskets. Sealed up well again.
 
changed diff fluid today. The gasket is easy to clean and re-use. I used under 5 quarts of Royal Purple 75w-140. Minimal “paste” on the magnet, gear wear pattern looked really good. 19773F1C-8A56-4C8E-9BF5-FB4C183ECEC3.jpeg

What fluid change interval have you been using with that unit? What mileage was the first change and what fluid are you using? Thanks

This truck has 22k miles for the first change. I tow 50% of my miles, will keep the 20k interval going forward.

Yeah, I never used Royal Purple before but these days you can’t be picky. It gets good reviews, is GL5 rated and has LS additive.
 
Is this your first change from the FF Mopar fluid? Looks like it did a good job for you. I ran Delvac 75w90 in my 18 with the CTD but from what I understand the new Hemi rear axle now requires the LS additive. Mine just turned 1K miles and I think I will wait until just before I get ready to tow my TT before I change it. I still have about a gallon and a half of the Delvac fluid left so I’ll just have to get the additive for the rear and straight in the front. Thanks
