It not just for fog. Off-roading with others gets real dusty,. Amber cuts through the dust fairly well. Mounting them high keeps the lights from getting broke/damaged by rocks and dirt, or any other obstacle encountered on the trails. Ambers worked great on my Raptor off road at night, also...
Awesome build! Almost went with Nuthouse, but got impatient.
How do you like the AEV lights? Just ordered the light mounting kit for my bumper and was looking hard at some Baja Designs LP9’s, but like the look of the AEV’s.
Added a shower and small passenger side cargo box to the rack. Shower is pretty cool, has a pump to add pressure or I can hook up my compressor to pressurize.
They can get a bit heavy. I just picked up a Roofnest Falcon XL, plenty of room for me. One of the main reasons I went with a 2500 for my overland build; gonna take a lot to make out my payload capacity. My Raptor had so little payload capacity, I was afraid to tow a trailer with it.
Just got done adding a third bar as well as cargo pod and rack plates to mount rotopax on the outside, shovel and axe on inside.. Entire rack is aluminium and only weighs 85lbs. Not sure what 80/20 extrusion is, but here is a link to all the info...
This thing is rock solid and very easy to install. Static rated at 1400lbs with dynamic rating of 800lbs and off-road dynamic is 400lbs. My RTT is 160lbs, so should be okay
. ARB RD197 From what I understand, front diff didn’t change, so lockers that worked on previous generation will still work. However, there were some changes for the rear, and ARB doesn’t have anything yet for the rear. I have limited Slip, so not too concerned.
