Ugh... here in upstate NY:
Monday was $6.199
Weds was $6.299
Today I paid $6.399
Towing for me is now $.75 / mile
Empty is $.38 / mile.
Need a second job; but it will need to cover fuel costs to get there
+1 Eternabond tape is pretty amazing stuff... but use it with caution. It doesn't come off easily at all. Usually need a heat gun and a lot of patience.
This is commonly used by RVs to seal the roof (seams, holes, tears, etc.)
Was considering a dually when I purchased my '21 (mixed feelings on whether I chose correctly).
At any rate, while considering, was looking at that issue.
We have a place that is the drive-in, then the machine moves around you. This WILL fit a dually, and the length of our CCLB also fits...
Sorry you're having this problem; I'm sure it's frustrating.
I have a SRW with the rear air leveling. Fortunately mine has been solid (fingers crossed).
What do you mean by lowering the system and re-inflating?
If it's the same system I have, there needs to be some weight in the bed to lower...
Had the above warning come on yesterday while traveling for work. I was roughly 100 miles from home when this happened, so I turned around and immediately went home.
I had put 2.5 gallons of DEF in the tank the evening before, but noticed the gauge didn't reflect the addition. Was at 1/4 tank...
Looks like this may be "settable" using AlfaODB.
Here's a note from koller1509 on another Cummins forum discussing this topic:
"If you have AlfaOBD you can switch off the TPIS and switch on the TPMS but most people don't want the TPMS squawking at them."
While I don't know why... this is a "feature" on 3500 trucks. I've seen here, not sure if true, the 1500/2500 have tire pressure alert, while the 3500 has tire pressure monitoring only.
I don't know why there's no alert, and sounds like an easy implementation. In fact, I'd love to be able to...
May or may not be relevant to the 21 model year, however I had a '14 Laramie. The leather was not "real" in many places. The center console top/arm rest felt more rubbery, and was definitely NOT leather.
My '21 Limited is much nicer.
BUT.... My '14, after ~ 7 years and 100k miles had no issues...
That's really good! Mine (2018 Grand Design), likely same 7k axles as yours, was on Heavy Electric at ~ 8 since new; it still wasn't braking very well.
Checked the pads, springs, etc. when I repacked the bearings and didn't see anything outside the norm.
Oh well, went to disc brakes; will...
Completely understand!
No one cares about your knowledge and satisfaction more than you do ;) Some dealers are knowledgeable, but most... well... not so much.
This is a great forum with lots of knowledgeable folks.
I would suggest adding a signature to help folks know what you have for a...
Looks like someone pointed you to an online manual in a different thread.
Trailer brake settings can be viewed/changed in the settings portion of your UConnect system.
I have needed to use "Heavy Electric" for my fifth wheel until I changed to Hydraulic disc brakes.
Was an easy change in the...
I'm 5'11".
I had a '14 with the sunroof and found the roof height to be terrible. Couldn't wear a hat.
Ordered a '21 without sunroof; huge difference.
No issues with interior space.
Test drove the Ford before ordering. Really liked the power train, but the Ram had it beat for interior...
I'm in the same boat! Took delivery in January, first vehicle I've ever ordered. I'm still so happy that I got everything I wanted, and nothing I didn't (Sun roof for example).
My '14 was Max steel; loved that color. I wanted something different, so I went with grey this time. Both of these do...
With respect to the Limited versus Laramie,
I went with the Limited. Just went crazy and checked every option when I ordered (minus the sunroof).
Only regrets:
NONE on the limited package.
The leather quality is great. The Aux switches do come in handy (Have a dash cam wired and ability to...
Oh wow... I feel for you. I just went through this last year , with prices on the significant rise, comparable values from vehicles that were sold LOOOONG before the the inflation, etc.
They know what the truth is; they know what they legally owe you. Read the state laws, they are VERY clear...
I'd like to see someone build a kit, with a relay using an Aux switch to use either the CHMSL camera, or a splice into a separate camera in either a truck cap, or a trailer.
I'd LOVE to get my rear view mirror image from the back of my trailer when towing. Regular camera when not.
There's a great Youtube channel "Scott HD" who specifically tests all sorts of spray waxes, ceramic coatings (DIY and Pro), trim protection / restoration, etc.
Check out Scott HD Here
I can tell you, that price does NOT always mean better quality.
There are many sprays that can last for months.
All good replies above. Start mid-range.
I just installed electric over hydraulic on my 16k 5ver, using the Brakerite actuator. I set it for Heavy electric over hydraulic. Don't recall where the gain is, but I think it was ~ 7 or 8.
BTW, Best upgrade I've done on my trailer. Will NEVER own...
