Was looking to get 2023 2500 Laramie that was in transit to a dealer in VA. Was told it was about 10 days out. Never heard anything, texted and was told still in transit. Almost 4.5 weeks later I get a text that the truck's bumpers got damaged, both need replaced. My question is, would there...
I was reading through this thread and all the replies. I was curious for your reasoning on #5. Where the 15 min commute is a bad thing? Thanks for any further insight. FYI, I have never owned a diesel but considering it and am trying to learn as much as I can before I make a final decision...
I appreciate all the comments. Hopefully truck prices can become normal in the next year or so. For now I will have to stick close to home with my current set up. I am over payload on current truck and don't want to push my limits to far. Thanks again for being a great community.
I am in the process of researching diesel vs gas for my next truck. I would use the truck for daily commute and towing trailer about 6~8 times a year. My daily commute is only 15 miles to work and back and I average about 15k per year. My worries from what I am reading is my short daily...
Ok, I know my Steer Axle is 3400, Trailer Axle is 4603 and Gross Weight was 11560, subtracting the first two from Gross gives me Drive Axle of 3557. Thanks for Pic.
I weighed at a Farm that sells coal. I didn't notice different pads, just seemed like one big scale to me. I can always go back and double check if there are "pads", but not sure what I would be looking for. Damn, I wish I knew more, I am sure I am frustrating some of you guys on here.
So I wanted to weigh my truck (it is not a HD, yet) Ram 1500. Here are the weights I got. I am trying to decide if I need to upgrade to a HD or stay with half ton.
Truck only (I was only passenger 185lbs, full tank of gas): Front Axle 3460, Rear Axle 2600, Total 6080
Truck with TT attached...
Awesome truck. I am looking at almost the same setup as you. Do you wish you had the 4.10 gear ratio on it? How is the 12" display for you. Thanks for any input.
Nice pickup. I was looking to upgrade to what you just got, but the wife isn't happy. I need to chip away at her sloooowly. The biggest reason is we have a TT that is around 6500# and I currently have a 2016 1500 ram laramie with a payload of only 1175#.
