Thanks for replying to all. As I sit here and think about the global environmental policies I imagine that's all the same. I can't imagine Canada is as wild as it was 30-40 years ago. (Not weather wise but modern roads, bridges, etc)
I was looking to see if the big 3 still spec-d different for different countries. Canada trucks were more robust than US trucks. I remember back in the day when going to parts, you had to know production date and country of origin in order to get the correct pieces.
Do all Rams come from the same factory in mexico? Does your truck have the same exact emissions crap on it that the ones in the US have? (This is not related to the DK vs HSS conversations) I'm just wondering. I remember back in the 80's and 90's we would specifically look for trucks that were...
I stand behind diesel kleen as well. I've got 500k on my 06, original cp3. The injectors were replaced but I got 345k out of them so not complaining. HSS is pretty available at most auto parts stores where I'm at in Ga it's just a little pricey.
As an addendum, that PDF doesn't ssy
No. I tend to over juice the 06 a little bit but I was worried about the emissions system on the 19 so I followed the directions to the letter. Also, I didn't see what engine (s) that PDF was referring to. It could be approved for older cummins engines w/o...
I use diesel kleen in my 06 5.9 but not in my '19. I used it once in my 19 and it kept regen-ing until that tank of fuel was gone. Diesel kleen has an ash content that the system detects. I use hot shots secret EDT with the lx4 (ashless) and just turned 50k miles. never regens and so far no...
I just rolled 45k miles today. They didn't show me the bolts so I have to take their word for it. But it is much, much better. It will bang around ever so slightly when I get into the wash board roads but nothing like it was. It's kinda to be expected tho when you get into rough stuff. Mount...
Just pick my '19 2500 C/C up from the dealer after they did the TSB for the rear cab mounts. So far so good after 30 miles with 5 being dirt roads. Only time will tell if it lasts. Here are the part #s that were used.
2 - 68349250 - AF Isolator (cab mounts)
4 - 6510855 - AA Screw Hex ( cab...
Prior to 2000 I owned nothing but Ford and GM. You couldn't get me in a Dodge if you have one to me back then. But I was wrong. I thought people were kidding when they would say a body will fall off a dodge before the Cummins quit. Finally had a deal I couldn't pass up and have never looked...
For me it's all about reliability. I have owned several Dodge/ rams over the last 20 years and all have had problems. From stupid stuff like a/c vent doors breaking, dash board breaking like glass to bigger stuff like ball joints and trannys. But not one time have I ever been stranded. Even when...
Mine still opens and closes but you can feel it kinda hanging up on the strikers. I'm personally not to worried about it because I'm changing it out for a fifth wheel tailgate anyway. The OP should check his just to be sure as well. I also had a gear shift lever that was not tightened down and...
All the way down the side. Looking at the hinge, it looked like it was crushed in. I waited for the warranty to run out before I massaged it to match the other side but really like didn't gain much in closing the gap. I'm not sure how to adjust it or even if it can be done. I really don't care...
3/4 on passenger side. I'll take a pic when I get it back from the dealer after new front and rear cab mounts. "Supposedly FCA updated the updated front and rear mounts"? Dealer said I was going to be first to receive them. I'm skeptical until I see part numbers and compare them to the "new"...
Check all the fluids in the axles and transfer case if 4x4. The assembly line only puts enough in them to get it off the line. The dealer is supposed to top off during a PDI but they don't. Both my '18 and '19 where low about a quart on axles/ transfer case. Also check the gap on both sides of...
I've got an appointment for Monday at the dealer I bought the truck from. They seemed a little more optimistic this time than times in the past. Hopefully it won't be there for three months like the last time I left it there for cab mounts. I'll update when I get it back
My rear mounts clunk when hitting a sharp bump going forward but not in reverse. My front mounts clunk in reverse going over obstacles that flex the truck slightly. but not to often going forward. I've been waiting a year and a half for the dealer to fix. The local dealer I recently went to...
I would have sworn my clunk was coming from the front as well. I guess it was resonating thru the frame. They have not done the TSB on the cab mounts yet. I may trade it in on a '21 3500. I may contact FCA and see if they'll give me some kinda credit or something towards the new one. After...
Okay so after about a month at the dealer, they finally found the new clunk. Turns out it was the rear sway bar links. I did check them before but didn't put a torque wrench on 'em. (Didn't really feel like laying in the Ga. Mud anymore). Cab mounts still banging around. This dealer I won't to...
