Look inside the 25+ redesign engine/block/head

The CGI blocks were around 5 years. I would love to think that over that time span, there was continuous improvement made as failure data came in. Especially considering that a lot of these engines get high mileage put on them quickly, increasing the amount of data available. I know Ford does...

New Ram HDs in 2027 or 2028

100%. And not only is the floor flat, the physical space is also larger. It's almost like having an SUV and a pickup at the same time.

    Fuse type?

So apparently the OE fuses are "Micro2" size. Sigh.. why do they make something as simple as fuses so confusing. So, I've ordered a box of Micro2 fuses from Amazon and that should get me squared away. I had a right trailer turn signal fuse blown for some reason.

    Fuse type?

On the left is the OE fuse. On the right is the "micro" fuse I bought. Clearly not correct. What is the type I need?

2019 Ram 2500 Tailgate Hinge Replacement

Stupid question... but is this problem only affecting trucks with the dampened tailgate, i.e. upper trim levels? My Tradesman doesn't have a dampened tailgate.

Are any gooseneck balls better than others?

I'm shopping trailers. Might possibly end up with a gooseneck. My truck does have the 5th wheel prep so I think I'm golden, all I need is a ball and the safety chain connections. Are there any particular gooseneck balls that are better? Or are they all about the same?

    Trailer brake

Do not believe that is possible.

    Fixing to order, any advice

Don't the 2500s get 3,000+ lbs. of payload with gas and diesel engines now? If that's not enough to pull a camper then my goodness...what kind of camper do you have?? There's that myth that diesel engines are better for high mileage. That was true until the mid 2000s. Hasn't been true...

    F250 Tremor 7.3L Godzilla versus 2500 Laramie/Rebel/Power Wagon 6.4L HEMI

Possible. Not probable, but possible. I will say my cousin's truck is the very first year of the 10 speed, and it was used at a tow pig for the first 65k miles before he bought it. He's put 100k on it since then. Zero issues with the trans. The half-foot (10 minus 4 is 6) longer bed makes...

    Off Road ride height

Do the 2500 Off-Road package trucks sit higher? If so, is it just longer coil springs?

    Keep Gear Indicator on Always?

Thanks. Once I get one of those cables I'll give this another try.

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

Wheewwww... it's a $5,500 jump to go to the gooseneck version. Ouch. There is a dealer with the same configuration trailer in a brand called Blazer priced under $10k but I have never heard of Blazer Trailers before. I don't know what the quality is like.

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

Thanks fellas. Going to get a quote on a gooseneck today from the same place. We have a company here in KY called Gator that makes some excellent trailers. They quoted me $7,495 on the bumper-pull version which in today's world is a very competitive price I thought. I'll see what they get...

    Keep Gear Indicator on Always?

Ahhh... that could be the problem. I wonder if the bypass for Ram looks just like the one from Jeep? I have an extra for my Jeep, I could try it if they are the same.

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

Thanks. Any concerns about a goosneck getting into the bedrails or tailgate of the truck and doing damage? Not talking extreme twisting here, but sometimes the fields here are rolling and uneven.

    Keep Gear Indicator on Always?

I tried two different OBD devices. One Bluetooth, and one hardwired to USB. They're MX+. Neither would work. Keep getting that same error about OBD interface. I guess I'll give up. I'll just keep using the buttons. Sigh...

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

I'm looking at 14k rated equipment trailers. Roughly 24' long. I'm seeing gooseneck and bumper pull both in this spec. All my trailers over the years have been bumper pull. What are the advantages of gooseneck? Thought I'd pick your brains in case there are things I hadn't thought about...

    Keep Gear Indicator on Always?

All right looks like I found it but it will not change to yes. It says that there is some kind of an interface issue.

Hey wait I think I have stumbled my way into it. Let's see what I can do..
