i think its unlikely we find the answer. I think the dealership wont even know the answer and given the truck market right now it will be better for the dealer if we walk, because he can sell it for more.
The thought crossed my mind with my "railyard theft" issue -- i bet he can sell the truck...
Heard from my dealer this morning. Corporate will not allow them to sell the recovered truck to me anyway since it was stolen. Unclear what damage was done, but they said it would go to auction with no warranty and sold "as-is."
Probably for the best anyway, given the unofficial recall +...
Supposedly he's going to the police station now to recover my truck and a power wagon that got stolen last night. No idea yet how the police got the trucks back. Great point about asking for the police report, I will definitely do that!
it depends on the condition. The guy told me that the...
Heard from my dealer, supposedly my truck is back from TX and unloaded at the local rail yard. Unclear exact day it will get to the dealer but hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel.
Original order mid nov
Got to local railyard 1/31
Sent back to TX in early Feb
Back to local railyard March 23
they probably want us to pull out of the deal because truck prices and demand are through the roof, they can make several thousand more by selling to someone new and not the agreed upon price.
Got word from my dealer that my truck is on the rail headed to KC (back from TX for repairs). This is assuming the computer system is accurate. He's hoping it will be in town this weekend but I'm not holding my breath.
All he could say about the issue is this.
I'm thinking it's more than...
@Nsf10162 did you get a notice that specifically said it was released? How did you get it (online or dealer?)
I got this email this morning, form letter BS mostly I think but at least it gave me a date range.
For those comparing notes, I placed my order mid November:
Ordered this truck in mid Nov - https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=3C6UR5FJXMG540632
It was shipped to Kansas City railyard 1/31 (where I live)
Weeks with no communication, only to find it's shipped back to Midlothian TX for some kind of repair/recall...
Did you manage to get it?
That's looking a lot better than the offer i'm getting locally (Kansas City).
2021 Ram 2500 Laramie with almost all the upgrades (sunroof, night edition, safety, bed, level 2 equipment):
Total: 69,565
HB: 2,306
FFP: 64,304
EP: 61,834
Guy offering it to me for 63,842...
How does this look?
He wants 63,842 which means 5723 off the price, about 8.2% off.
Doesn't seem that strong compared to the 9-12% most are getting here.
Do you all ever compare to FFP? Any idea how much margin they have for friends and family?
What price would you counter with?
