Had a similar thread on the 4Runner forum I was in and it was cool to see where people were taking their vehicles and what other places in the US looked like. I thought I'd try the same thing here.
Here's my pickup yesterday when I was out hiking for morel mushrooms in Idaho. I found a...
I grew up in Idaho with three siblings and a stepfather that was a young policeman. We were poor. Not destitute, but not spending money on vacations every summer. But, we had a `74 Dodge W150 and a pickup bed camper, so our vacations were camping within about 300 miles of our home in Northern...
My latest pistol is this "special edition" S&W M&P10 2.0 10mm Backpacker.
First range trip was not impressive as the trigger was awful, accuracy was mediocre, and it would not work with Buffalo Bore ammo...
Got it home and started inspecting the ammo. It seems that I got a bad batch of...
I bought a used ambulance to convert into a motorhome for weekend camping trips. The plan is to get it converted, then use it tow a trailer to the camp spot, then use the ATV to explore. However, I also have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe on 35s that would make a nice logging road explorer...
That's a solid brand! I've been looking at RVs and will be buying a 10yr old or so used 5th wheel for my Arizona winter home, and one for my Idaho summer home. I've been watching dozens of videos on the subject and there are a few brands I would never buy. Coleman is absolute garbage, as is...
Made it home! Turns out part of the wiring harness got twisted and a connector shorted out, which then fried the fuel pressure sensor. Shop got it fixed within 2 hours of the parts arriving. Fuel mileage went way up once the new sensor was installed. Averaged about 12mpg the rest of the way...
Picked up the ambulance today and drove it about 100 miles before it broke down, lol.
Shop says it's a leak in the fuel injection system. Will find out tomorrow exactly what and how much to get it back on the road and the other 200 miles home.
I am on a public auction site primarily for land in AZ that gets abandoned due to non-payment of taxes. But when there are no land sales, I will see what other items are available in my area.
Couple of weeks ago I see an auction pop up for a very nice heavy duty ambulance 300 miles from me...
I went to the Discount Tire store that sold me my original set of Milestar Patagonia X/Ts to get two new ones since they sent me down the road on tires that required 11 and 15 ounces to balance, and weren't balanced. I also went from 17x9 0mm offset American Racing rims to 17x8.5 +25mm Nomad...
My brother has those on his Tacoma and likes them.
I was wondering, what happens if you are off-roading and need to stop and get out with a rock or log under your door?
Does the step try to deploy, hits the object, then automatically retract?
I was perusing a public auction site looking for land in AZ to buy when I came across an auction for an ambulance. Normally, I have no use for a used ambulance, but this rig is in great shape and a few hours from me. It was bid up to $1500. I put in a bid for $4k.
Then I started searching...
